JOB SUMMARY

 

Responsible to build, enhance and support Pricing systems that allow the Pricing Managers and Pricing Analysts to grow revenue and profit and improve efficiency in their analysis.

 

Under moderate supervision, complete medium to high complexity projects.  Complete assigned projects, develop, document, and implement Pricing systems, tools and applications. Communicate with the customers, management, and team.

 

Responsible for review, design, analysis, new development, on-going support and modification of the Pricing systems. Responsible for the optimization and performance improvements of the new and existing code base. Responsibility include design and development of integration processes, Pricing systems solutions, development in heterogeneous databases environment, navigation through medium complex systems configuration.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure accuracy and integrity of the data and Pricing systems applications through analysis, coding, writing clear documentation and problem resolution.
  2. Analyze data structures content and ensure performance validity.
  3. Design, code, test, and implement data integration solutions using modern techniques and programming language.
  4. Design, code, test, and implements Pricing systems solutions, including report, dashboards, notifications, in support of the business requirements.
  5. Provide database development assistance in creating specific applications for the Pricing & Yield Management department.
  6. Participate in research and apply innovation at all levels of the software development process.
  7. Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Work harmoniously in a cross-functional teams including Pricing Systems team members, other business resources as well as IT department.
  9. Perform the role of the designer responsible for moderately complex systems and their subsystems employing knowledge of current technology and tools, as well as relevant systems that are already existing.
  10. Provide excellent customer service by responding to and assisting with resolving issues and system outages.
  11. Contribute to production support activities and processes.
  12. Follow existing development standards and participate in standards reviews and renovation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s degree specializing in computer science or equivalent work experience required.
  2. Three (3) or more years of experience with RDBMS, and related areas Transact-SQL, SSIS, Stored Procedures, Views, etc.
  3. Two (2) or more years work experience in transforming XML, Flat files, or other delimited formats into RDBMS.
  4. Sound knowledge of traditional as well as agile software development methodologies.
  5. Ability to apply Database Design Principles.
  6. Strong ability to carry out research and innovation.
  7. Highly effective working in a team, as well as working independently.
  8. Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills.
  9. Demonstrated strong initiative and organization skills.
  10. Demonstrated strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Microsoft SQL Server experience.
  2. Experience with Server-side development (PHP, ASP.Net, or related).
  3. Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
  4. Experience with Front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MVC framework).
  5. Experience with Java development.
  6. Experience with Business Intelligence tools including visualization (MS Power BI, Tableau, etc).
  7. Bonus: mainframe experience, SAS, JCL or similar.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
