JOB SUMMARY

 

The Business Analyst works closely with business and technical stakeholders to execute product roadmaps, identify and improve processes, and translate business needs into actionable projects. The Business Analyst is a key contributor in all phases of the development lifecycle process and helps ensure projects produce the required outcomes.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Solid technical understanding
  2. Ensure quality and maintains performance of deployed solutions.
  3. Evaluates and documents business processes, and determines opportunities for improvement
  4. Facilitates joint application design (JAD) sessions to obtain business requirements and create use cases
  5. Participates in sprint planning, daily standups and retrospectives
  6. Assists with communication of project contents, approach, progress and results
  7. Assists with creating, sizing, grooming and prioritizing project/product backlog
  8. Contributes to process improvement through team learnings and retrospectives
  9. Assists with internal and external communication, and improving transparency
  10. Coordinates efforts between business partners and technology teams to deliver projects per plan
  11. Assists with automating, scaling and continuous improvement of business and internal processes
  12. Coordinates user acceptance testing
  13. Facilitates meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings
  14. Supports the development of end-user training materials and documentation
  15. Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS  

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  2. 3-5 years experience in related business analyst work.
  3. Strong technical aptitude, fast learner and effective problem solver.
  4. Self-motivated, goal oriented, quality driven and capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
  5. Good communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Strong problem solving skills 
  7. Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects with attention to detail
  8. Positive team player able to work effectively with others
  9. Working knowledge of Agile Scrum practices
  10. Experience creating process flow diagrams
  11. Understanding of software development lifecycle processes

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
