JOB SUMMARY

 

This role is part of the Business Intelligence team that develops and supports data analysis and visualization products to empower data-driven business strategies at YRCW.  The primary responsibilities of this role are to collaborate with the Business Intelligence team, IT, and business partners to formulate business solutions, set timelines, create product rollout and support plans, and own relationships with stakeholders across many functional areas of the company.  The primary challenge of this position is to find creative solutions to deploy cutting edge machine learning and AI products with near real-time data feeds in production environments while balancing interests of business partners and IT.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Define, manage, and evaluate business plans for developing, deploying, and supporting data-driven business solutions.
  2. Collaborate with Business Intelligence analysts, data scientists, developers, engineers, and data visualization experts to develop products that serve business needs.
  3. Facilitate internal and external documentation for team products and resources, including management and tracking of data sources, data/ETL process owners, product licensing, etc.
  4. Evangelize cross-functional product needs and data-driven solutions through collaboration with business stakeholders and internal technology product owners.
  5. Cultivate and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams, including business stake-holders and IT.
  6. Seek, obtain access to, and share enterprise and 3rd party data sources.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, bachelor’s degree in a technical field (computer science, engineering, math, statistics, etc.), or demonstration of equivalent skills through work experience and/or training certifications.
  2. Three (3) years prior experience work in or collaborating closely with IT.
  3. Two (2) years prior experience working with project management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, ect).
  4. Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proven ability to leverage data in decision making.
  5. Exhibits a strong entrepreneurial spirit, goal oriented and capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
  6. Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
  7. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  8. Positive, team player, able to work effectively with others.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Background in project management.
  2. Experience in data-driven BI development.
  3. Degree and/or industry experience in Logistics, Supply Chain or 3PL Logistics.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
