JOB SUMMARY

 

Under direct supervision, complete low or medium complexity projects.  Communicate with the customers, management, and team.

 

Responsible for review, design, analysis, new development, and modification of the systems. Responsible for the optimization and performance improvements of the new and existing code base. Responsibility include design and development of the batch and near-real time data integration processes, Business Intelligent (BI) solutions, development in heterogeneous databases environment, navigation through less complex systems configuration.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure accuracy and integrity of the data and applications through analysis, coding, writing clear documentation and problem resolution.
  2. Analyze code and data structures content and ensure performance validity.
  3. Design, code, test, and implement software solutions using modern techniques and programming languages.
  4. Design, code, test, and implements BI solutions, including report, dashboards, notifications, in support of the business requirements.
  5. Provide database development assistance in creating specific applications for businesses.
  6. Participate in research and apply some innovation at all levels of the software development process.
  7. Work harmoniously in a cross-functional teams including IT and business resources.
  8. Perform the role of the designer responsible for less complex systems and their subsystems employing knowledge of current technology and tools, as well as relevant systems that are already existing.
  9. Provide excellent customer service by responding to and assisting with resolving issues and system outages.
  10. Follow existing development and deployment standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s degree specializing in computer science or equivalent work experience required.
  2. Two (2) or more years of experience with Transact-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Stored Procedures, Views, etc.
  3. Two (2) or more years work experience specializing in transforming XML, Flat files, or other delimited formats into RDBMS. MS SQL Server experience is required. Oracle RDBMS experience is a plus, but not required.
  4. Two (2) or more years working experience in a database development environment.
  5. Sound knowledge of traditional as well as agile software development methodologies.
  6. Ability to apply Database Design Principles (OLTP).
  7. Ability to carry out research and innovation.
  8. Knowledge and experience working with software application, database design, and BI ideas.
  9. Highly effective working in a team, as well as working independently.
  10. Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills.
  11. Demonstrated strong initiative and organization skills.
  12. Demonstrated strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  1. Experience with Service Broker.
  2. Experience with C# and SQL SLR stored procedures.
  3. Experience with SSAS (Tabular and Multidimensional) and MS PowerBI suite.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
