JOB SUMMARY

 

 

Under general supervision provide clerical and administrative support for the Maintenance Dept. Compile and maintain records of business transactions and office activities of terminal, performing a variety of clerical duties and utilizing knowledge of office systems and procedures.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

  1. Copy data and compile records and reports. Tabulate and post data into computer system. Record orders for service.
  2. Updating and entering work orders.
  3. Parts processing, review and update parts invoices.
  4. Fuel ordering
  5. Maintain office supply inventory. Order and stock supplies as needed.
  6. Operate office machines, such as typewriter, adding, calculating, and duplicating machines. Use mainframe computer terminal or personal computer for access to and entry of data.
  7. Open and route incoming mail, answer correspondence, and prepare outgoing mail.

REQUIREMENTS

 

 

  1. Basic computer literacy.
  2. Effective organizational and prioritization skills for managing multiple tasks with interruptions from phone calls.
  3. Effective verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills for handling phone inquiries, composing correspondence, dealing with customers and assisting management.
  4. Ability to type with speed and accuracy.
  5. Ability to work varied shifts and days of the week. These worker characteristics are normally acquired through completion of a high school education or equivalent, courses in operating office equipment and 6 to 9 months related work experience.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

  1. Experience in the transportation industry.

 

STARTING PAY: $12.94 per hour
