Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with customers; handling incoming and making outgoing customer calls providing accurate timely information regarding freight overages, shortages and damage. Have ability and desire to handle customer service issues with compassion to help diffuse any possible additional alienation.
  • Finding, reconciliation and clearing of distressed freight. Management and control of free astray and non-revenue freight movement.
  • Maintaining a high percentage of OS&D freight in motion through the system. Adding fluidity to process by quickly and accurately reconciliation of OS & D issues.
  • Establish corrective measures to eliminate loss, theft, misrouting and damage.
  • Participate effectively and constructively in daily OS&D conference calls. Ability to use digital and other imaging equipment to photograph freight for identification or damage assessment. Must be able to perform some duties as assigned on the dock in various temperature conditions.


Required Education and Experience: 

  • Minimum age: 18
  • Must read, write and converse in English sufficiently to comprehend OS&D company policies and procedures and communicate with co-workers and 
    customers.
  • Must possess basic computer and keyboarding skills. Have good analytical, cognitive and problem solving skills.
  • Minimum 1 year OS&D or Customer service experience required.
