JOB SUMMARY


The Systems Integrator II is responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise level solutions for legacy and modernized systems. This individual needs good problem-solving skills to develop effective fixes to complex technical problems, decision-making skills to choose cost-effective solutions and teamwork skills to productively collaborate within the enterprise. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Install, administer and support enterprise application infrastructures.Web server and load balancing infrastructures.
  2. Application source repositories and build\deploy tools.
  3. Create technical documentation including technical instruction material and best practices guidelines
  4. Assist with large-scale system design and integration tasks
  5. Production systems 24x7 support, on-call rotation
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  7. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  8. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, quality-driven and capable of working both independently and in a team with minimal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience
  2. Minimum 3 years progressive coding experience in scripting technologies (such as unix shell, groovy, powershell, perl, etc.) and programming in object-oriented languages (such as Java, C#)
  3. Minimum 2 years of progressive experience with Unix\Linux
  4. Minimum 2 years of experience with binary and source code repositories
  5. Minimum 2 years with networking concepts, including load balancing
  6. Experience with continuous integration and build systems (Jenkins or similar)
  7. Experience troubleshooting Web Applications end-to-end
  8. Core competencies in SQL, Java, XML, HTTP, Web Services (REST/SOAP)
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  10. Demonstrated application architecture proficiency
  11. Strong technical aptitude, fast learner and effective problem solver
  12. Production systems 24x7 support experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with Webservers
  2. Experience with distributed infrastructure and architecture
  3. Experience with installing, administering and supporting Enterprise application infrastructures
  4. Experience with application monitoring tools
  5. Experience with containerization products (like Docker or Kubernetes)
  6. Experience with web development, single-page applications (SPA) and node.js
  7. Experience with source code repositories (like GitLab)
  8. Experience with DevOps practices
  9. Experience with configuring/administering large enterprise load-balancing/high-availability solutions using technologies such as Citrix Netscaler, F5 Big-IP, Apache and other assorted webservers and J2EE containers (JBoss, Tomcat, etc.)


 

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
