JOB SUMMARY

 

This IT position will be involved in the ongoing daily support of the Oracle Cloud Finance system and the data integrations with that system.  This position will work very closely with the company’s accounting and finance departments to maintain these systems.  Working hand in hand with these departments, this position will assist with ongoing process analysis, new system configurations, and the general support of these systems.

 

Typical duties may include, but not limited to the following:

  • Assisting the functional departments with business requirements gathering
  • Consulting with functional departments to identify necessary changes to systems.
  • Help investigate and resolve system functional and technical errors
  • Develop complex and special ad hoc reports that the functional areas are not able to handle.
  • Troubleshooting on systems and data, and generate solutions which may include systems modifications, enhancements or new procedures.
  • Design, develop, configure and test systems functionality changes.
  • Help define testing scenarios and develop test scripts.
  • Maintain integrations to Oracle Cloud system by troubleshooting Java programs and Linux shell script, and coordinating with other IT areas who are responsible for file transfers and databases.
  • Report, track, and resolve application related issues with the Oracle support organization.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Five years of IT experience.
  2. Three years of progressively responsible experience as applications/systems analyst including at least two years working with finance/accounting applications.
  3. Must have experience developing, coding and supporting integrations between systems.
  4. Experience with Oracle fast formulas is desired.
  5. Experience with supporting Oracle Cloud/e-business Finance is desired.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, business administration or a closely related field.
  2. Five (5) years of IT experience.
  3. Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience as applications/systems analyst including at least two years working with finance/accounting applications.
  4. Must have experience developing, coding and supporting integrations between systems.
  5. Experience with Oracle fast formulas is desired.
  6. Experience with supporting Oracle Cloud/e-business Finance is desired.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  1. Oracle Cloud Finance, Oracle e-Business Finance, or other large Finance systems (GL,AP,AR, and procurement)
  2. Report writer software (e.g. Oracle BI Publisher, Discoverer, SQL Navigator or TOAD-query software)
  3. SQL
  4. General business accounting and finance
  5. Principles and techniques of systems and procedures analysis and design
  6. Investigative and analytical procedures
  7. Java Spring Batch and Linux scripting is a plus.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
