Operations Support Specialist - Afternoon

Job Summary:

Performing a variety of clerical processes in support of the Terminal’s operation.

Job Duties:


  1. Perform clerical/administrative assignments in accordance with established procedures and under general instruction.
  2. Print, scan and update documents in accordance to established office practices. Create and file documents relating to the operation of the facility.
  3. Respond to customer communications in an accurate and timely manner, investigate, and resolve customer complaints.
  4. Create, review and maintain various reports and ensure proper company functions.
  5. Open and route incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
  6. Order and keep track of office supplies.
  7. Assist in the administration and office support functions by maintaining office records, personnel files and answering routine questions about company policy.
  8. Ensure union employee’s vacation calendar is updated on a regular basis
  9. Other duties as assigned.

  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Effective organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
  3. Proficient using MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  4. Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.




Competencies / Requirements: 

  • Completion of secondary school required. 
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Applications. 
  • General office experience required. 
  • Familiarity with Mainframe an asset. 
  • Transportation experience an asset.

Working Conditions: 

  • Works within the Terminal office and dock area. 
  • Monday to Friday, 3:00 p.m. start.
