Mgr–Logistic Solutions Manager

Sales & Marketing



Responsible for leading direct reports in the cultivation of truckload business through account development, qualifying, securing and retaining truckload opportunities. Role will support the strategic positioning of our brokerage services to increase truckload market share and revenues, while concurrently working in conjunction with Local, Corporate and Inside Sales channels to foster customer relationships and increase profitability accordingly. Role will work directly with pricing to manage RFP and help gather customer information and set pricing strategy for corporate accounts.



  1. Promote revenue growth and increase market share through business partnerships, collaboration and strategic planning.
  2. Ensure effective communications between the LSM -Truckload team, Account Executives and Inside Sales Representatives within each assigned market to identify, establish and nurture truckload accounts.
  3. Support team members in successful contract negotiations, RFP’s and projects for new and existing truckload accounts to maximize margin and revenue levels.
  4. Drive truckload account penetration through the management existing accounts by growing both contracted and spot loads opportunities.
  5. Monitor shipping activities and trends with customers to make sure accounts are growing and receiving awarded business.
  6. Work as point of contact for new RFP for corporate sales on existing accounts.
  7. Demonstrate industry, product and sales skills knowledge.
  8. Manage supervisory responsibilities such as; hiring, training, performance appraisal, and employee development. Mentor, lead and develop Truckload Business Development Representatives.
  9. Identify and provide employees with necessary resources and training to meet objectives. Provide timely, relevant performance feedback and employee evaluations. Recognize and reward positive results and serve as a role model to team members.
  10. Provide solutions to management to improve the efficiency and performance of the Truckload Business Development team.

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Three (3) year sales or prospecting experience.
  3. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to negotiate difficult situations.
  4. Experience using MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  5. Previous leadership experience.
  6. Proven track record generating growth and leading teams in a quota driven environment.
  7. Demonstrated relationship building, problem-solving and collaborative planning techniques.
  8. Proficient in PC and mainframe applications.
  9. Prior experience in operational tools implementation and training. Proven ability to adapt to, learn and teach new technology platforms supporting business growth.
  10. Proven ability to coach and train.



  1. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  2. Experience in the transportation industry with deep knowledge of truckload operations and logistics.
  3. Extensive business to business sales or consulting experience.



This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.




The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs. of supplies and materials is required.
