Hiring Event - Casual Dock Worker
JOB SUMMARY
Join the YRC Freight team! We are the original LTL Carrier with over 90 years in the business and we’re looking for part-time Dock Workers.
As a YRC Freight Dock Worker, you’ll be responsible for safely loading and unloading freight from trailers at the terminal location. A casual works on an as needed, on call basis with no set schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Loading and unloading freight from trailers using various lifting methods including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Preparing, inspecting, and cleaning trailers before loading freight
- Reviewing freight bills for special instructions and inspecting freight for damage

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to push/pull/lift up to 75 pounds frequently, greater than 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Work various shifts and days of the week
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 6 months experience operating a forklift
