JOB SUMMARY

 

Responsible for performing tests on new interface and implementations and transactions to resolve all business issues and provide support to interfaces and processes for efficient flow of information. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Test Mappings with customers. 
  2. Coordinate testing with EDI application users and EDI users in Customer service. 
  3. Work discrepancy reports. 
  4. Maintain all interface/transaction change requests and integration projects. 
  5. Analyze and design specifications used for enhancements and extensions in the EDI applications, interfaces and mappings. 
  6. Collaborate with non EDI sources to prepare, design, and implement solutions and design data mapping to ensure effective administration of all transactions. 
  7. Perform tests on new interface and implementations and transactions to resolve all business issues and provide support to interfaces and processes for efficient flow of information. 
  8. Work effectively with trading partners to define requirements, create technical designs, develop new maps, define business processes, execute testing, and implement new I\EDI transactions. 
  9. Providing on call support. 
  10. Meet the decided deadlines for the assigned tasks.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Education and Experience
    1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.  
    2. At least two (2) years of EDI experience. 
  1. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    1. Knowledge of computer hardware and software and IT project management.
    2. Demonstrated experience in peer development.
  1. Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Attention to detail.
    1. Ability to plan and organize things effectively. 
    2. Excellent communication skills, both verbal as well as written. 
    3. Expert in recognizing the problem effectively. 
    4. Ability to solve the detected problem within the given time. 
    5. Knowledge about various networking protocols and their usage.
    6. Effective coordination with other employees. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  1. Experience in Transportation.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

This job operates in a professional office environment indoors.  Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
